Wellfleet Mobile Unit is now accepting new patients. The mobile unit opened its doors on February 24, 2023, and is part of Acadia Healthcare’s extensive network of opioid addiction treatment centers. The clinic’s compassionate staff provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to opioids. MAT is an evidence-based treatment that includes FDA-approved medications that are designed to ease the symptoms of opioid withdrawal. It also involves individual and group counseling sessions that cover topics such as coping strategies and relapse prevention. The new clinic reflects Acadia Healthcare’s commitment to providing accessible and effective care for Americans who have opioid addictions. Wellfleet Mobile Unit offers care for those in Wellfleet and its surrounding communities.
