Learn About Our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program
The Comprehensive Treatment Center virtual IOP is a stand-alone program that is designed for patients who are struggling with addictions. This program is ideal for individuals who do not need the 24/7 monitoring offered in inpatient and residential settings but can benefit from more frequent care than what is offered in traditional outpatient therapy.
All patients receive individualized care plans that guide their time in the program. The typical length of time a person spends in our virtual IOP is between six and 12 weeks, but that can vary based on each person’s needs and the progress they make.
Telehealth Services
Our virtual intensive outpatient program is offered via video on a HIPAA-compliant platform. All services in the virtual IOP are delivered by licensed clinicians who are dedicated to providing a supportive and encouraging environment to help patients confront the struggles they are facing.
Taking part in the virtual IOP allows patients to receive the care they need from the comfort of their own homes. It can also reduce barriers to treatment for people who do not have transportation or may not be able to easily get to and from appointments. Our goal is to make the process of getting care as easy as possible so that we can help more people in need.
Concerns We Address
The virtual IOP offers care for individuals who are suffering from substance use disorders, including addictions to alcohol, opioids, cocaine, methamphetamines, benzodiazepines, and other types of illicit substances. We are also able to provide care for people who are struggling with symptoms of co-occurring mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
How We Help
We believe that for patients to truly achieve recovery from addictions, they must be provided with personalized care that meets them where they are on their healing journey. In our virtual IOP, we offer various types of services, including group therapy, individual therapy, and family education counseling.
Individual therapy consists of confidential, one-on-one sessions with a licensed counselor. During these sessions, patients can work with their counselors to identify and learn how to manage triggers, discuss ways they can build and maintain healthy boundaries in relationships, and come up with strategies for relapse prevention. The sessions are structured in a way that is most beneficial for the patient, and the topics discussed are based on the person’s identified needs. Individual therapy sessions are offered once a week for one hour per session.
Group therapy in the virtual IOP is offered three times a week for three hours each session. Licensed counselors lead the group therapy sessions, which may consist of psychoeducational groups, process groups, skill-building groups, support groups, and special interest groups.
There may be any number of topics discussed in these group therapy sessions, including coping skills, emotion regulation, communicating boundaries, creating healthy relationships, crisis intervention, crisis management, relapse prevention, wellness, and barriers to recovery. While in the group therapy sessions, patients have an opportunity to come together with other individuals who may be facing similar struggles with addiction. This can help remove the sense of isolation addiction often causes and provide the support and encouragement patients need as they work toward recovery together.
