About Raleigh Comprehensive Treatment Center in Raleigh, NC
Raleigh Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) delivers clinically excellent care for adults age 18 and older who have addictions to opioids like fentanyl, heroin, and prescription painkillers. Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, our outpatient opioid addiction treatment center specializes in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and serves individuals throughout Wake County, North Carolina. We also serve the neighboring communities of Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Medication-assisted treatment is backed by substantial research as an effective method of treating opioid use disorder, which is the clinical term for opioid addiction. Methadone clinics and other opioid addiction treatment centers have utilized this intervention for decades. As a result of participating in MAT, numerous individuals have found lasting recovery and are able to live healthy and productive lives.
Medication-assisted treatment is effective because it addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of individuals who are struggling with opioid use disorder. MAT incorporates the use of prescription medications and counseling sessions to provide people with well-rounded care. Through this comprehensive approach, individuals can develop coping skills, rebuild relationships, and regain control of their lives.
For someone who has an opioid addiction, receiving MAT services at an outpatient clinic like Raleigh CTC can aid them in their recovery. By taking part in MAT, they can learn how to navigate the challenging aspects of withdrawal and establish a foundation for lasting wellness. This can empower them to persevere through setbacks and remain committed to their recovery.
Raleigh CTC is a methadone clinic that offers outpatient medication-assisted treatment, which allows individuals to begin their recovery while living at home, working, and fulfilling family and social responsibilities. Our outpatient program goes beyond the offerings of traditional methadone clinics by providing comprehensive care for patients, including individual counseling, group therapy, and diverse medication options. We strive to provide individuals with the tools and resources they need to achieve sustained recovery and reclaim their lives from opioid addiction.
The specific medications that are offered as part of MAT vary depending on the CTC location but may include Suboxone®, Sublocade, Vivitrol, buprenorphine, and methadone. These medications are FDA-approved and have proved effective in helping people stop using opioids without suffering from painful withdrawal symptoms. We determine which medication is best for each patient based on their medical history and needs.
Along with medication, individual and group therapy sessions are essential components of treatment in our medication-assisted treatment program. These sessions provide patients with an opportunity to establish connections with people who are facing similar challenges and learn skills to support growth and lasting change. Our experienced therapists tailor these sessions to address patients’ unique needs.
