Located in Roanoke, Virginia, Roanoke Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides personalized outpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older of all genders who are struggling with opioid addiction. We offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT), an evidence-based, research-supported approach that combines prescription medication and counseling to treat opioid addiction.

If you’re not familiar with methadone clinics or MAT, you may be pleasantly surprised to discover the scope of services you can receive at our center. Our goal isn’t simply to ease the symptoms of opioid withdrawal. We want to help you make the lifestyle changes that will enable you to achieve successful long-term recovery from opioid addiction.

Prior to fully engaging in treatment at Roanoke CTC, you will meet with a member of your treatment team to complete a thorough intake assessment. This assessment will provide us with the information we need to create an individualized treatment plan that is tailored to your personal needs, strengths, and goals.

Many methadone clinics only provide one or two medications to help people end their opioid use. At our center in Roanoke, Virginia, we offer four medication options: methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone®, and naltrexone.

Multiple studies have documented the safety and effectiveness of methadone and these other medications for short- and long-term use when they are taken within the context of an approved MAT program. A member of our medical staff will explain the features of each of these medications to you, answer any questions you may have, and recommend the one that’s best suited for you.

Our Roanoke clinic also provides individual and group counseling to help you address the emotional, social, and behavioral impact opioid addiction has had on your life. Both forms of counseling offer a variety of benefits, including opportunities to develop healthier coping skills, gain valuable insights into the recovery process, and share support with others who are also receiving MAT.
