About Southern Hills Comprehensive Treatment Center in Las Vegas, NV
Southern Hills Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides clinically excellent care for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid use disorder. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, our outpatient center offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to help individuals achieve recovery from addictions to opioids such as fentanyl, heroin, and prescription painkillers.
Methadone clinics and similar opioid addiction treatment centers have used medication-assisted treatment for years because it is backed by substantial research and has proved highly effective. This is because MAT combines the use of prescription medications with counseling services to address both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction. As a result, patients are more likely to achieve and sustain recovery.
The medications that are available will vary depending on the specific CTC location but may include methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone®. The medical team at Southern Hills CTC conducts a thorough assessment of each patient’s health to determine the medication and dosage that may be most beneficial for them.
Additionally, patients who take part in MAT at our CTC can engage in individual and group therapy sessions, which can enhance their treatment experience and facilitate lasting change.
The team at Southern Hills CTC is committed to helping our patients overcome their struggles with addiction, providing them with the tools they need to reclaim their lives.
Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Addiction
Opioid addiction often leads to painful withdrawal symptoms and intense emotional distress. Receiving medication-assisted treatment at Southern Hills CTC can ease both forms of discomfort for patients. FDA-approved medications can alleviate symptoms and reduce opioid cravings, enabling patients to engage in counseling sessions and focus on their recovery journey. In therapy, patients can develop practical strategies for long-term success and wellness.
When patients come to Southern Hills CTC for care, we create a customized treatment plan specifically for them. We carefully select medications that best suit the needs of each patient. Additionally, our team works closely with patients to schedule regular individual and group therapy sessions.
As an outpatient MAT provider, our goal is to help patients incorporate treatment into their daily lives without falling behind on personal or professional commitments. Unlike other programs that may require daylong participation or overnight stays, MAT is a convenient and accessible option, allowing patients to receive care at times that work best for them.
By participating in medication-assisted treatment, patients can not only stop the use of opioids but also:
- Reduce their risk for relapse
- Improve their social relationships
- Gain and maintain employment
- Prevent future health complications
- Enhance their overall well-being
If you’re considering medication-assisted treatment, you may have some questions, like:
- How do I know if MAT is right for me?
- What are the side effects of the medications used in MAT?
- What happens after I complete the MAT program?
- Can I participate in MAT if I have other medical conditions?
- What types of medications are available, and how do they work?
- What should I expect during the first few weeks of treatment?
- How can I find a methadone clinic near me?
It’s normal to have concerns, and a reputable center will be more than happy to address them. In your search for quality care, it’s essential to find a clinic that prioritizes your comfort and safety. At Southern Hills CTC, we’re committed to providing clear and honest communication so that you can fully understand your treatment options and make a well-informed decision for your recovery needs.
What To Expect at Our Methadone Clinic in Las Vegas
At our Las Vegas methadone clinic, we understand that seeking help for an opioid addiction can be a daunting step. At Southern Hills CTC, we strive to make this transition easier by offering a welcoming environment, a straightforward intake process, and respectful, empathetic care.
The first step to begin receiving treatment is to contact us by phone or come to our clinic to schedule an intake appointment. At the time of your visit, you’ll complete any necessary paperwork and have blood drawn for a TB test. By gathering your personal and medical information, we can create a personalized care plan that aligns with your treatment needs.
This plan serves as a road map for your recovery journey, evolving as you progress through treatment. Our medical team will closely monitor your response to the medication we’ve prescribed for you, making any adjustments as needed.
One of the more well-known and widely used medications for treating opioid use disorder is methadone. As a long-acting opioid agonist, methadone can provide steady relief from withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings throughout the day. It works by activating opioid receptors in the brain, helping patients stabilize when taken as prescribed. Buprenorphine, a partial opioid agonist, works in a similar way to methadone to reduce the physical impacts of withdrawal. Suboxone® is another FDA-approved medication that can block the effects of opioids.
When you take part in the medication-assisted treatment program at Southern Hills CTC, you can also engage in individual and group therapies. With professional guidance and peer support, you can address the emotional and behavioral aspects of opioid use disorder.
By emphasizing a holistic approach to care — one that nurtures the mind and body — we aim to help you make meaningful progress and work toward a healthier, brighter future.
If you are seeking a methadone clinic in the Las Vegas area, Southern Hills’ outpatient facility could be the ideal choice for your treatment needs. Value of Substance Abuse Therapy
Substance abuse therapy is a crucial component of the recovery process, as it helps patients address the root causes of their struggles. At Southern Hills CTC, we offer both individual and group therapies, providing safe spaces for patients to share their experiences without judgment.
In individual therapy, patients can meet one-on-one with a qualified counselor, who encourages open communication, listens actively, and provides focused feedback. With this guidance, patients can set clear goals and envision what an addiction-free life could look like.
During group therapy, patients can interact with others who understand and empathize with their journey. Through mutual support and encouragement, they can help each other work toward recovery.
In both settings, patients can develop essential skills, such as stress management, communication, and relapse prevention. Additionally, therapy fosters self-awareness, helping patients recognize patterns in their behavior and emotions and build healthier habits.
At our Comprehensive Treatment Center, therapy is designed to be educational, engaging, and empowering, promoting collective growth and resilience for our patients.
