About Springfield Comprehensive Treatment Center in Springfield, MA
Springfield Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Springfield, Massachusetts, is a trusted provider of medication-assisted treatment for adults who are struggling with addictions to prescription painkillers, heroin, and other opioids. Medication-assisted treatment, or MAT, is a time-tested, research-supported method of helping people establish a foundation for long-term recovery from opioid addiction.
At Springfield CTC, adults age 18 and older of all genders can receive MAT on an outpatient basis. Our services include prescription medication to help you end your opioid use and counseling to help you develop the strategies and capabilities that will empower you to maintain your recovery.
When MAT was first used in methadone clinics in the U.S., patients were only able to receive methadone to ease the symptoms of opioid withdrawal. Today, Springfield CTC is authorized to offer methadone and Suboxone®. We work closely with each new patient to assess their needs and determine which medication is best for them.
What to Expect at Springfield CTC
We understand that uncertainty about what you will experience at a methadone clinic can be a barrier to getting the treatment you need. At Springfield Comprehensive Treatment Center, we want to put your mind at ease so that you can devote your full attention to your treatment, your recovery, and your healthier future.
One of your first activities at Springfield Comprehensive Treatment Center will be to complete a detailed assessment. The information collected during this process will guide the development of your personalized plan. Opioid addiction affects each person in a unique way, and everyone who seeks treatment has their own goals and expectations. We want to be sure that you receive the services that best meet your needs so that you can achieve the healthy future you’ve envisioned for yourself.
Therapies Used at Our Springfield Methadone Clinic
Medication is an important component of care at methadone clinics and other MAT providers. But medication alone can’t prepare you to successfully navigate the path of lifelong recovery. To help you achieve sustained success, we may incorporate both individual and group counseling into your personalized plan.
Individual counseling sessions at our center are opportunities to have confidential conversations with a member of your treatment team. These sessions may be the ideal place for you to discuss experiences or concerns you may not be comfortable addressing in a group setting. Individual sessions also allow you to receive focused feedback from a trained professional.
Group counseling sessions at our CTC typically include a small number of other adults who are also receiving MAT at our center, along with one or more professionals. Depending on the focus of the group, you may share your experiences, learn from the insights of other MAT patients, acquire important information about opioid addiction and recovery, practice new skills, and discover the many benefits of sharing support with others who are walking a similar path.
“I owe my life and recovery to this program. I am so grateful for my counselor and all the staff here for believing in me, guiding me, and supporting me on this important life changing journey.”
