Our center’s services include medication and counseling. This research-based, evidence-supported combination is known as medication-assisted treatment (MAT). MAT has been used in methadone clinics in the U.S. for several decades, and multiple studies have documented its effectiveness in helping patients end their opioid use, resist relapse, and remain in recovery.

One of your first activities at Waukesha CTC will be to complete a thorough evaluation. The information we collect during this evaluation will guide the development of your personalized treatment plan. Following a consultation with a member of our medical team, you will also receive a medication recommendation.

Our opioid addiction treatment center is authorized to offer methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, and Suboxone®. A member of our staff will explain the features and benefits of each of these medications to you, and they’ll answer any questions you may have. They’ll also work closely with you to determine which medication and which dosage level is right for you.

When taken as directed, methadone and the other medications we offer can play an important role in your efforts to end your opioid use. But medication is just one of two fundamental components of treatment at methadone clinics. Waukesha CTC also offers individual and group counseling to help you build a solid foundation for successful long-term recovery from opioid addiction.
